DID YOU KNOW...?

...that scientists are close to unlocking the secret of self-healing metal?

"Scientists for the first time have witnessed pieces of metal crack, then fuse back together without any human intervention, overturning fundamental scientific theories in the process."

Researchers were running an experiment to study how cracks form and spread through a piece of metal using an electron microscope and a technique that pulled on the ends of the metal 200 times per second.

Forty minutes into the experiment, the unexpected happened: the damage began to reverse!

More research is necessary before this discovery can have practical applications, but it has the potential to revolutionize engineering.
