CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT... This month, we're featuring a necklace that Alicia Jacques made out of stainless steel. She says: "[It was h]and cut, polished, and hand imprinted/stamped with coordinates of where the customer had released her lover's ashes at sea." Want to see your work featured here? Send us an email at newsletter@speedymetals.com. You can also check out other great customer projects on our blog or on our Facebook page. |
WHAT YOU'RE SAYING... "It was near impossible for me to find specific diameters and lengths of a very specific type of steel that I needed. After doing just a general google search, I found these guys and I was so happy to see that they had everything I needed! Using the website was easy, and my order arrived within 2 business days. There's no other company that I will be using in the future. Not to mention, the actual product I received was way nicer than I expected. It didn't have a bunch of oil and dirt falling out of the box/off the product and there was zero burrs on the ends of the rods. Very fine work, and extremely secure packaging. 10/10 would order from again!"

DID YOU KNOW...? ...that iron volcanoes may have erupted on metal asteroids? Scientists from UC Santa Cruz conducted an analysis of how metallic asteroids cooled and solidified. These asteroids started off as blobs of molten iron floating in space. As they cooled and formed a solid crust around a liquid core, that liquid could have come bubbling up and erupted through the surface either in a slow ooze or a violent explosion, depending on what other elements were mixed in with the iron.
