CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT... This month we're featuring retired mechanical engineer Jon Whitledge, who works out of a small shop developing prototype ideas. For the past two years, he's been working on a wind turbine test program, improving the output, efficiency, and size. He says: "[Below] is a photo of the test stand; it is constructed of materials such as [...] flat, round, and angle steel or aluminum stock. It provided a range of wind speeds so the various blade configurations could be tested for power output.

WHAT YOU'RE SAYING... "The ability to purchase small material quantities without cutting charges (on a will-call basis) as the project developed was a huge advantage for us as we could make changes in the design and purchase only the materials needed at the time."
