You may have noticed some changes to our website these past few days. We've updated the site to make it faster and easier to find what you're looking for, to improve the appearance and functionality on mobile devices, and to add some new features (like this blog!)
Need a little help to find your way around our new look? We've got it covered:
If you're on a desktop or laptop computer, you'll notice that our main navigation hasn't changed much. You can still see all the metals listed across the top, and when you mouse over them, a full list of available shapes appears:
Our search box is bigger, and has moved up here next to the logo:
On the top left side of the homepage, you'll see links to our most recent blog posts. If you click on the title, "Speedy Metals Blog", it will take you to the main page for the blog, where you'll see links to all of the posts. You can also get to the blog via the links in the footer.
Below the slideshow on the homepage, you'll see a new section called Quick Links. It contains links to some of our most popular products. Already know what grade of aluminum you need? You can go straight there! You'll also notice that if you shrink your window, you'll see fewer metals displayed in this section, so that it's not too cluttered.
If you're visiting our site on your mobile device, the changes are a little more dramatic, but we hope they make it easier for you to shop!
All your most important navigation links are now right across the top: Search, Menu, Login, Cart, and Call Us.
When you tap the menu button, it expands to show you the full list of the metals we sell. Tap the word to go directly to that metal's page, or, tap to expand the menu further to see all the available shapes. Want to close the menu? Tap the hamburger menu icon at the top and the menu will close.
Need another way to find what you're looking for fast? Tap the green arrows or just swipe sideways to navigate through the quicklinks and easily find the metal you're looking for:
