IN THE SPOTLIGHT

This month, we're featuring a custom, 1/4 scale RC snowmobile built by François Gauvin.

RC snowmobile

A few years ago, he realized that there weren't any decent RC snowmobiles on the market, and so he decided to build his own.

He says, "This is my last prototype. On this one, I have pretty much taken care of all the bugs and it works very well!"

"Just the 3D drawing takes a lot of time and effort; no need to say that there is a lot of time needed for fabrication also!"

"[Now I] just need to finish the 3D printed body and build a rider!"

DID YOU KNOW...?

...that the world's first 3D printed steel bridge is being installed in Amsterdam?

The worlds first 3D printed steel bridge

The bridge will be installed across one of the oldest and most famous canals in the center of Amsterdam: the Oudezijds Achterburgwal.

The company behind the project, MX3D, says: "We equip typical industrial robots with purpose-built tools and develop the software to control them. The unique approach allows us to 3D print strong, complex and graceful structures out of metal."

Want to see videos of the bridge? You can check out MX3D's YouTube Channel or visit their website to learn more.
