CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT... This month, we're featuring a project by Lee Garrison. He says: "I had to make a face mount 3 phase motor fit a bed mount motor bracket. Went a little nuts on the counterbored cap screws holding the 2 pieces together." Want to see your work featured here? Send us an email at newsletter@speedymetals.com. You can also check out other great customer projects on our blog or on our Facebook page. |
WHAT YOU'RE SAYING... "Thank you for 1) Having an easy to use website, 2) being so cheerful, 3) being so speedy!"

DID YOU KNOW...? ...that engineers have developed a new, universal anti-corrosive coating for steel? Originally developed as an insulator for flexible electronics (like foldable cell phones), a sulfur-selenium alloy turns out to also be an extremely effective anti-corrosive coating for steel. "The researchers pointed out that sulfur-selenium combines the best properties of inorganic coatings like zinc- and chromium-based compounds that bar moisture and chlorine ions but not sulfate-reducing biofilms, and polymer-based coatings that protect steel under abiotic conditions but are susceptible to microbe-induced corrosion."
