This week, we're featuring Tom Clark, who sent us these pictures of an engine he built! He says:
"I spent about a year building this little hit & miss engine from David Kerzel's design. The cast iron flywheels are 3.5" in diameter. The block was cut from aluminum bar stock. The 1/4" piston is from aluminum rod stock."
"Quite a project! The only metal I did not get from Speedy Metals was a 0.008” guitar string to make the intake valve spring. The exhaust valve spring came out of a ball point pen. The gears were cut on my mini milling machine."
